QCTO Marketing Video

The Quality Council of Trades and Occupations (QCTO) is a government agency that is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, assessment and certification of occupational qualifications and trades. Sound Idea Digital produced a 3D Character Animation video for the QCTO to market their OQLMS (Occupational Qualification Learner Management System). This is a Learning Management System designed to meet the needs of the QCTO, the SDPs and the learners.

3D character animation flying into building

A 3D character animation entails creating a three-dimensional character and integrating it into a video. The character takes on the role of the presenter, directly speaking to the viewer. We custom designed three characters for them to choose from. They opted for a male superhero who they named Lwazi. A voice to match his appearance and personality was chosen and recorded.

Our video production team filmed at their offices. Once this was done, we started with the editing phase. Lwazi came to life as he was edited into the video. We even added ambient noises and music. It turned out to be an exciting, quirky and informative video, showcasing what the OQLMS is about.
